Warning about Google Web Accelerator

I recently found out that the new Google web accelerator drastically slows down Java Web Start. This is a problem that does affect the launch of GTO games. As this is a big downside to the accelerator at this point until either Sun Microsystems or Google make adjustments.

Doing a web search I found the following text that you can configure javaws.exe to use a direct network connection: open Javaws, click on the Preferences which will open the Java Control Panel, click on Network Settings, and change from Using Browser Settings to Direct Connection. There is a warning that this change should be done by advanced users so do this at your own peril.

I tried what you suggested. Not sure if there is a difference yet but I wanted to point out that there is a problem right now whereby the lobby isn't loading at all...

You are encountering a problem with our server.

Does anyone know if this problem with the Google Web Accelerator been solved?

I am having problems getting in the games here. I played yesterday and everything was fine and tonight I can't get into the lobby. It appears that the lobby is not loading correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks.

We are currently having problems with our game server/lobby. I am out of communication with our lead programmer so we will likely be down for the night.

i cant get into it i cant login or anything was i banned or soemthing
