I lost moscow on G2 in a game. R1 missed in BOTH ukraine and west russia, with most of attacking force gone (you know how it works - first turn you miss and he gets one hit, you stay for second turn you hit 1 and he hits 5/6 etc...). G1 took caucuses and stacked all available tanks and planes etc... I tried to counter caucuses and that also fluffed. Germany's attack on moscow was 40% chance but he won it easy. Probably could have done more to hold Moscow but figured my best chance of winning was forcing risky moves that would swing thing my way.
I think in total Germany lost 6 units, russia had been wiped out with 4 inf still up north in the east. Can't remember who this was with but it was a 5 player live game, fortunatley everyone found it quite amusing.
A reverse was when I was losing as allies, I had a 10% chance on Berlin with UK won. Axis were so far ahead there was still a decent game in it even after that, but eventually I won.
