CONTEST: GTO @ GenCon

GenCon is coming up shortly and me and Sliceydicey are excited to be in attending! We thought this was a great opportunity to meet those of you who are also attending the U.S.’ largest game convention. Wednesday night we are planning to have a casual dinner to meet GTO users and you are invited to join us. A restaurant has not been selected yet but reply to this post to get on the planning list for this.

Once the convention starts we will be giving away 50 GTO Points if we spot you wearing GTO paraphernalia. This can be homemade items, old GTO buttons from when we used to exhibit at game conventions, or official GTO gear that you can purchase from http://www.cafepress.com/gametable or through our Treasure Chest. You have to be seen in public during the GenCon festivities. If you have a scheduled meeting with Sliceydicey or me (including the dinner, above, or Treasure Chest deliveries, below), those will not count for sightings. Please don't stalk us!

If you are attending GenCon and are thinking about making a Treasure Chest purchase, we are offering a 50% discount on shipping/handling if you accept delivery at the convention. Instead of sticking it in the mail, we will bring the orders with us to Indianapolis. Because this is a special offer, please contact RobEng via email with your Treasure Chest order. Space is limited to what we can fit in our luggage and is first come, first served.

If anyone has ideas of where to meet, post them here. I want it casual something like the Ram, Rock Bottom, or the Hard Rock but I realize there are a lot of other GenCon groups gathering that night.

GTO_Krieghund told me that he will only be there on Friday and Saturday. I am sure that there might many others in a similar situation. If that is the case, maybe we will reschedule but you will need to speak up here!

It is not very original but let's go with the Ram Brewery at 140 South Illinois Street at 8:15 pm on Wednesday August 4th. http://www.theram.com/indiana/indianapolis.shtml. Unfortunately they are not taking reservations so we will have to fight for a table. Right now I have 5 confirmed so let me know if you want in.

I apologize to everyone who was unable to hang out with us on Wednesday night. The Ram Brewery was a madhouse with a wait time of over an hour. We lucked out by jumping ahead in the wait list. The turnout was a bit light but we did enjoy zetan's company.
