Axis and Allies Achievements

Just a heads up: Unless things have changed, I don't believe you can unlock an achievement just playing against the AI. At least one other human has to be in the game with you.

Hi IMFFRMA,

These are intended to be secret so I don't want to give them 100% away, but I will give some big hints (members of the community can feel free to give them completely away, however!):

The Depression (AA Revised): You get this by significantly hurting the other players "economy". The bar is pretty high, so you'll probably need to break out the heavy bombers and really go to town in one game if you want to get this one.

The Purple Heart (AA Revised): Normally, a soldier would get this for being injured in the line of duty. If you play a few hundred games of Axis & Allies and don't have a spotless (or near spotless) record, you'll get this achievement as a recognition of your service. Bonus Hint: Some really lousy (or unlucky) players get this one after only 100 games!

Floating Fortress (AA42): This AA42 achievement isn't secret. Bombard with 5 or more units in naval combat to get this one.

Slicey Dicey - I did bombard with 5 or more in aa42. I did not get the achievement. Do you have to HIT with 5 or more, or just try?

speed in achieveing something or should i say lack of speed,so maybe not holding a land zone before a certain round????
I'm Axis so i would guess CAU or Karelia?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

rjscmk, it should be acceptable to just try. However, do note that you need to do an amphibious assault with at least 5 land units if you want to bombard with all 5 sea units. We recently tested this and it worked for us. Do you know under what conditions you attempted your bombard and didn't get the achievement (what types of units and in what territory)?

"I like Turtles" is a reference to "turtle" tactics in miniature and war games, where one side assumes a powerful defensive position and waits for their enemy to attack them, so work with that when trying to get the achievement.

I might not have landed 5 land troops. I was hitting east US hard, but was also ferrying England to Canada, I may have walked in a large group, but only transported 2 - 4. OK. I will wait for next op and try it

Not exactly how the Team player or the Coach Badge works. I have played 3 ( I think) 1v1s. My other 39 wins are multi games. And it says I have 8 wins with teammates. And I know I have won more than one game with a novice lol. Oh well.

Im not sure about the team player, but Coach has to do with experienced players playing a certain number of games with novice teammates.

Overconfident??? Me.... Never, but I rec'd this achievement. What's it for, I did not notice getting it.

Just got the The Depression with UK being bombed big time. I had 2 IPC left after one bombing raid. So I think it is when you can't buy units in a turn. He now has 6 german bombers and I have 18 UK IPC. So I think it could happen again this turn lol.

Been an interesting unique game.

Abandoned but not Defeated

You get this hidden achievement when you capture a territory by conduct an amphibious assault supported by non amphibious units and retreating from battle, leaving the amphibious units behind, but still capture the territory. I had ground units from an adjacent land area which I retreated in addition to air units so not sure if you can get this achievement if supporting air units are the only thing that retreats from the amphibious assault.
