Hmmm, I don't think so. You usually can't win the game without another capital anyway, so I think you'd just get the capital swapper achievement by itself. We need a redman's input. They'd know.

as the purple heart is a usa military award i would assume it has something to do with an exceptional result when defending hawaii, sinkiang or china, especially if a lot of people have it. but i don't have it either and i don't recall being notified when my opponent was awarded it (as a pbem only player).

I agree. It has to be attained from some sort of amazing defensive play. We just need specifics.

How do you manage to get in so many games as a PBEM only player?

i can do multiple turns each day, but i just can't block out sufficient time to play a live game to completion.

That is one of the hidden achievements in A&A 1942.

Thanks for the reply, but I already checked that list and it doesn't seem to show some achievements, including the "I like turtles" one. I guess that's why they're called hidden, but it would be nice if there was some way to find out what you did that got you a particular hidden achievement.

I'm purposely avoiding details regarding the hidden achievements to hopefully promote more speculation and discussion here on this forum thread. We may eventually let the cat out of the bag, or the mariner out of the sub...

I have 20 wins in revised, yet only 18 toward my Silver Star. Is a win ever not a win, or is this an error?

I got 18 wins on 1942 and I already got a Silver Star (it has the solid outline) but it shows the number 48/100 underneath... what?

We have identified that surrenders are giving an inflated number of wins towards the game achievement medals. We are working on a solution so this should be corrected in the next few weeks and after we fix the error we will run a procedure to sync up your achievements with the real number of wins that you have.

I am new to Starcraft achievements. How are those granted? Ours are pretty straight forward: you do the goal, you get the award.
