Robo Rally Tournament: 9pm EDT, October 25th 2012

Postby CaptainColeslaw » Sun Oct 21, 2012 1:15 pm

The top vote for the October Live Tournament Poll is Robo Rally. GameTable Online will be hosting a Robo Rally tournament on Thursday October 25th, 2012 at 9 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time (GMT-4).

The tournament will follow the rule set as outlined here, with match points based on the number of flags tagged and finish placement. The tournament will have 3 rounds with an entry fee of 10 GTO Gold for each sit-n-go table. The highest placers in the three combined rounds will receive GTO Points as a reward (in addition to those won for winning sit-n-go tables). Expect to spend 30 GTO Gold in the tournament if you want to compete in the full tournament.

If you are interested in participating in the tournament, all players will meet up in the Tournament Lobby (https://www.gametableonline.com/secure/launchgp.php?tourney=1), just prior to the start of the tournament.

If you want to learn the game, I will be in Gathering Place at 7pm to hold tutorial sessions.

The maps are created by yours truly with a Halloween theme. They will be posted here shortly before the start of the tournament.

Note: If the downloaded map appears as a page of text in your browser, just save it as a file with a .rrc extension type. Or alternatively right click the download link, then choose "Save Link As" if using Firefox or "Save Target As" in Internet Explorer.

The results are in. It was a 13 person tournament. The top 4 were:

1st: Samuel who gets an added 58 GTO Points!!!

2nd: deemen who gets an added 32 GTO Points!!

3rd: cncoutmon who gets an added 24 GTO Points!

4th: mezo who gets an added 16 GTO Points!

These prizes are in addition to the points won for individual sit-n-go tournament games. GTO Points can always be redeemed for fun games and prizes from our Treasure Chest: http://www.gametableonline.com/treasurechest.php

Thanks for playing, and I hope everyone had fun!

For those interested in the full results, tournament points were determined using the Tournament Guideline game scoring formula as described here: http://www.gametableonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=210

Good fun. Are the boards you played posted? 3 different or 6 different ones?

Wish I could have been there but have been working a seasonally evening gig.

Cheers
